Hello allnurses
I'm hoping for a bit of advice from other students on how I can better manage my time on the clinical floor.
I find myself running behind, especially when I have two patients. I can't find a balance between being with patients, meds, treatments and charting.
We have the same schedule every week but somehow a wrench feels like it was thrown in to my assignment at times.
I really want to work on my time management. I don't want to be the "slow" nurse. Should I make checklists? Set alarms on a wAtch? I'm at a loss. Sometimes I'm on the ball but tonight for example I finished 20 minutes late and my classmates were waiting for me at post conference. I really need to fix this and impress my instructor in these last few weeks! Please help!
