Tidewater Community College Spring 2017

Published

Hey everyone! I'm turning in my application this July for the spring 2017 start! I'm so excited! However I will have one class in progress (microbiology) and was wondering if anyone knows if this will hurt my chances of getting accepted. I'm going to take my HESI mid June so I don't have that score yet! Any help or advice is appreciated!

its getting so close!!!! I keep thinking back when I turned in my application, I'm so scared I left something out or wrote the wrong thing on there....ahhhhhhh does anyone have a plan B if you don't get in? I have been looking forward to this day for two years. my back up plan is MCI (I really don't want to go that route though)

Hey ya'll! I am also applying for the 2017 Spring start, but am nervous due to my GPA. It is a 3.44. I have all A's, a B, and a C. I received an 83 on the HESI? What do ya'll think my chances are of getting accepted? Thank you!

I thought about them but it's just so expensive. If I don't get in I'm just going to finish my bachelors at ODU then apply for a PA program once I receive my bachelors!

@britneybutler11 I think that those are good stats! They weigh your grades with points and i believe that the sciences count the most so if you have A's in those then that's even better. I unfortunately have B's in both of my anatomy and microbiology so I'm nervous for myself. Did anyone turn in a letter or recommendation with their application?

jaebee94, I have an A in AP 1 and a B in Micro and a C in AP 2. That C is what makes me so nervous!!

Do you mind sharing your stats? If not, I understand. Kind of trying to weigh my options haha. If I don't get in here, I am going to apply to Sentara for the Jan. 2018 start!

@Britneybutler11 I'm starting the nursing program on Wednesday so I can vouch and tell you that your stats look very good. I got an 84% on my HESI but didn't have any C's. My GPA was a 3.68 at the time I got accepted back in the Spring. Also, I would say that Sentara is a great plan B I am going to finish off my BSN there but I honestly would not recommend MCI to anyone but that's just my own input. Good luck to you guys, today's the 15th so you all should know no later than the end of next week!

o my gosh!!!!! just a few short days!!!!!

I don't recall there being a whole bunch of question on the chemistry portion if that eases your mind some.

I called them and they mailed them out on the 14th! Hopefully we will receive them within the next couple of days!! Good luck to everyone!!

Omg I was just about to call, I'm glad you called!! Yes hopefully by the middle of the week we will know something. Fingers crossed!
