Tidewater Community College - Fall 2025

Published

Hello! I wanted to start a thread for those of us who applied for Tidewater Community College Beazley School of Nursing for the Fall 2025 start! Only 1 more month (give or take) until we get an answer!

Hi yall, I know this isn't the intention of this thread but I am having trouble finding answers so any information would be helpful! I am applying for the Spring start (2026) this year and I want to know if I have a chance. I have Bs In A&P I&II, As in all other pre and co requisites, haven't taken my TEAS yet but I'm curious if I have a chance? Assuming I do well on the TEAS. Thank you and congrats to everyone who got in!

@rbfrazier Yay! Congratulations! I look forward to seeing you in class.

@Vianey808 I think you definitely have a strong application.

If this helps I applied with every pre/co req except for micro. I had all A's and I had a 90% on the TEAS.

I'm not sure if you have attended the nursing information session yet but they told me in the one I attended that as long as you aren't below a B in your courses and score well on the TEAS that you have a strong application.

Best of luck!

@becca28 Thank you! That actually helps a lot! I went to an info session a while ago but I'm not sure if that question was asked but I'll make sure to ask at the next one I go to! I was worried I didn't stand a chance with those two Bs and it's hard to get an honest answer because of course they want people to apply regardless Congrats on getting in and good luck!

@Vianey808 Its so hard to tell because it all depends on the application cycle. for reference, I had an A in A&P1, A in ethics, and had not taken A&P2 or Micro yet at the time of my application. I scored an 85 on the TEAS. I know people with a 3.9 who didn't get in because their TEAS was in the 70s (which is average). So it really depends on the other applicants!

@becca28 you too! curious to see if we will be in the morning or afternoon cohort, because I believe there are 2.

@rbfrazier Yeah I remember them saying it really depended on the pool of applicants they got that cycle but I was worried those 2 Bs basically took me out of the running . I wasn't sure how much a good score on the TEAS would make a difference but clearly it makes a big impact! Thank you for the information and congratulations on getting in!

Yeah @Vianey808 makes a good point it does also depend on the other applicants in your cycle. If you have done all your co reqs though you get more points for that.

I was looking at the available classes and there is a morning and afternoon slot for each class. I assume we will find out which one we are in that zoom meeting. I was a little confused when everything was due by though. Says 6 months before but class starts in 3.

@becca28 are you on fb? If you wanna add me maybe we could chat there? Rebekah Frazier, my pic is me on the beach with a bell in the background

@rbfrazier no I don't have a Fb. You could email me and we swap numbers that way. It's rebeccalaf16 gmail.
