Dianah I had chicken parmesan, which was good, I think the pasta was homemade

NJ22 glad things are getting better with the dogs

Ado hopefully you can address that issue soon

Stars perhaps there is some sort of ombudsman who can help older adults navigate the legal issues around guardianship and POA

Work wasn't too bad yesterday, did have time to help others at the end of the day.  Hopefully today will be the same, although we will have someone off the next week and a half

After work did the grocery shopping, then came home and exercised

Have counseling over lunch and exercise after work.  Have been gradually moving back into my diet, was fun to be off for a bit but now I'm tired of it and want to eat healthy again

Will be another cooler day in the upper 60s, at least it looks like the rain has stopped

Neighbor's escaped chickens and our resident groundhog, Gertie (Grizelda?) are in our back yard. The scouting doe has come by to check for deercorn, which I haven't put out yet. Momo is curled up in her little round dogbed, beside me on the sofa. Hubby is in recliner sleeping and making a quiet grunt with each of his exhalations. Nannie is in her recliner and although her eyes are closed, she is not sleeping.

Hubby had to call me (wake me up) for assistance 3 times during the night and three times this morning while I was still TRYING to sleep! The latest being he got up 4 of the 6 stairs up to his room, and then his knees let him down; he needed to be helped up. I told him "This has GOT TO STOP!" because this happening so early in the day is rather unusual.

So when I asked hubby if he had or is going to call the PCP's office, he said  "Maybe tomorrow." So *I* called and made him an appointment (Thursday, October 12th at 3:20 PM) but he is on the list to be called for any cancelled appts., and I made sure they would call MY cell # for that . I told hubby that if they called about him filling in a cancelled appt. slot, he WILL be going, regardless of what day and what time of the day anything comes open. I have a long list of his complaints and he does need to go into the hospital, in order to assure his compliance with tests that require preps. Otherwise there is no point in him going to the hospital....they'll just say 'stop drinking' and send him home with instructions to make appts with this Dr and that Dr and that ain't gonna work.

Let us pray.

Momo is eating and drinking, and using her pee-pads, and sleeping well, so all is well. I am so glad to have her. I comfort her and she comforts me.

All for now----

I'm dog sitting for eldest ds—she's a lovely German wire haired pointer. My little girl dog was a little hostile, so I put her in doggy  jail for a while until she could calm down. Everyone is taking a nap now. I bought a baby gate that I put in the bathroom door to create doggy jail. I got a small indoor pen too, cause I can't even read the paper in the morning without a dog elimination.
I agree with Joe, about finding an ombudsman to help with financial stuff. Maybe the senior center?
