Tweety that is awfully late for an appointment

Dianah sounds like a good time

NJ22 I try to avoid chain restaurants too

Stars hoping they step up and come up with a post surgery plan

Yesterday was good at work, nothing new, nothing unexpected, despite having to spend some time on a side project.  Had plenty of time to get everything done and even to help out at the end of the day.  However no one else needed help.  So ended on a quiet note

After work I exercised and participated in a Zoom meeting with a group I'm part of.  Otherwise a quiet night

Today should be pretty quiet day at work unless anything unexpected happens.  Have a haircut after work.  Am fighting a headache which started last night, managed to banish it but it's back this morning, so likely a migraine.  If so it's the first I've had in at least a year or two.  And not nearly as bad as they used to be

Will be slightly warmer today, up to the mid 50s

Good morning!

Stars, believe it or not, I've never heard of Life Line Screening Tests before and had to Google it.

Dianah sounds like the usual good time at the festival.  Welcome back.

swear I know that cold weather doesn't cause colds but I've been feeling a bit congested since it turned cold the other day.  Nothing major and it seems to clear up as the day goes on.

The visit with the GI doc went okay.  He's wants me to try a Low FODMAP diet which I don't know much about.  I've heard of it.  I'll give it a try for a couple of weeks.  He thinks because I was so sick for three months with infection the recovery is just taking longer, and I'm not a 20 year old.  Gee thanks.  The protein powder I use to flavor my green smoothie is the morning isn't allowed so it's bitter.  Bleh. I guess I'll survive.

Nothing much happening otherwise.  I've been getting up with Waffles and then sleeping a bit later than I would like.  When I was younger I was a night owl so I think perhaps that's my default.  But would rather get up earlier.  Especially since I'm still working.

I'm up and dressed. When I woke up around 8 AM I was going to take my AM pills, but instead I just turned over and went back to sleep. So now, 12:30 PM, I am hobbling and waiting for the meds to tell the gypsies to 'Shut The Front Door'. I have to take Tinker out, as she is sitting beside me trembling with anticipation. Then I have to get Nannie up and dressed. The CG will be here in an hour or so, and then I get to go up to my room and see if I can summon enough spit to dig in and do some more cleaning and organizing. We'll see.

Started a crammed full load of Nannie's laundry. Went to the shed to retrieve an old bookcase, and had to clean off nine years of dust and spider-eggs so I can bring it up to my room. Gawd, it is HEAVY; only two shelves and about 4 + 1/2 ft long, and it weighs a TON. It was made by someone on the Work Crew at Warren Wilson College YEARS ago, and I nabbed it when I finally moved out of the dorm in 1982. (tsk-tsk!)

The repair BiL made on the metal roof of the shed did not actually keep the rain out, but fortunately I'd put a large, rectangular Tupperware container on the metal shelf right under the gash. I decided to check the Tupperware box to see how it was doing and it was filled with rainwater right up to the rim! So, I had to scoop the water out into a bucket and I don't know how many buckets I had to empty before I could take the Tupperware box down and toss out the rest of the water. WHEW! At least it didn't overflow, which it probably would have if we'd gotten more rain; so, anyway, I returned the container to where it was doing such a good job of collecting rain, and it is 'good' to go for now. Don't know how the roof can be repaired to keep the water out; I believe we just need a new shed. (Nannie's expense).

I would like to be able to go down to the shed and pull all the boxes out, sort and trash some stuff, and re-box what I still want to keep. It is an awfully big job, though, and I prolly won't get much done on that task until Spring/Summer, or maybe if I ever get MY ROOM straightened out, I can do down to the shed and do a few boxes at a time. Otherwise it would take days and days AND DAYS to accomplish. I'd really like to find some of the stuff I had planned to have brought into the house the day the truck pulled into the driveway. I wonder about things that had shampoo and various creams and lotions in them ....I can only imagine the mess I will find when I get to the bottom, back left corner of the shed; THAT is where the boxes are that were labelled "Unload to the house FIRST" were unloaded. I don't think ANYBODY unloading the truck even looked at the words that were written in large, dark letters so they couldn't be missed.....and yet.....!!

So I have taken a break in my 'cleaning' and now I have to get back at it. It won't all get done today either, because the CG is only here for another 3 hours. Eventually I will have to dust and vacuum, once I get the jumble sorted out. and do a little rearranging. And then I have a task for BiL to take care of.......sawing off an inch or two from the bed-frame's legs. I actually fell out of bed (slow-motion) twice in the past six months because I thought I could sit on the bed and reach down to pick things up ( I am ALWAYS dropping things!) Anyway, since it was a slow-motion fall I didn't get hurt at all, but I did worry about the osteo-arthritis they said I have. I will find out on Friday at the Life Line Screening if it has gotten any worse. Who knows? I do know, however, that osteoarthritis can sneak up on a person to the point where a not very hard fall could make a bone break. That is why I try to be very careful about not over-doing things. Once upon a time I was very supple and strong. But I am not to the point of getting crippled up, I HOPE!

Here I go delaying my chores again. When I am ready to get off the lap-top, my chattiness suddenly makes an appearance. HUSH YOUR PUPPIES, STARS!
