WELL!
Chatty CG called me this AM saying she was going to be a little late, because of this, that, and the other thing. I told her about Nannie's 'cold' and said that when I got Nannie up I would call her back. See, her mom has been diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid and it has spread to other parts of her throat. They will be talking with the doc to figure out a course of treatment, to start almost immediately, ASAP. I don't want her to be taking any of Nannie's germs back to her mom or her grand-dgt who she keeps 2-3 days a week, so I called her back and told her not to come today. I just left SiL a message on her cell phone; I don't know if she is working or when she will get the message, so eventually I expect her to call me back. She may not think it was necessary to tell CG not to come, but I do! And if Nannie is better tomorrow, she can go to daycare, but she has no fever, but has a juicy cough and a nose running like nobody's business. *I* don't want to be responsible for anybody having MORE trouble with their health, (I think it is the same thing, in this case, that my own mother would do!)
The thing is, I hurt so bad this AM that the medicine only knocked it down 1/2 way, and taking my supplements on an empty stomach made me feel quite ICK-ish. Also, yesterday I did nothing, except I got SOME of the laundry done. Nannie has wet her bed through and through, so that's more laundry. I figure I can get those things taken care, at my 'leisure' over the course of the afternoon. I also (AGAIN!) have a sinkful of dishes to wash, and have to collect the overflowing trash so it can be picked up tomorrow.
Nannie is already starting to get sleepy, so I can begin my chores shortly.
It is so odd to me that when she coughs that big juicy cough, she wonders what is wrong with her! Still says she doesn't think she is sick! She is more and more distanced and disconnected from reality, but that's to be expected.
Anyway, that's the scoop. Let my hobbling begin!
Another nice day here. The master gardeners had a picnic lunch for the interns, and as a mentor, I was asked to bring food and attend. It was a good turnout, with delicious food. I made some veggie wraps. Then I came home, did a little gardening here. I will soon be leaving for the last golf lesson. Will get to practice with a driver club, and then we will play an actual hole. I need to remember bug spray tonight, because last week it was terribly buggy. The course is in a forest setting, and there are lots of gnats and bitey/stingy things.
Thats awfully considerate of you Stars, to keep people away from the Nannie person. I'm not sure I would be that charitable.
Hi Joe. I too, dislike long drives. 30 minutes is about my limit.

Stars hope the aches and pain have eased off. Hope she can get back to day care soon
Tweety glad the biopsy is negative and you're feeling better
Hi NJ22
Work was good yesterday, no new cases, nothing unexpected. Got a bit busy near the end but did manage to get out on time despite one rather long call
Went to the dinner with the over 50 group, haven't been to that particular event in a few months. Smaller group, was kind nice. Pretty long drive though
Today hopefully will also be calm at work, have less on the schedule than yesterday. The gay group has their monthly happy hour after work. Will do a little packing after work then will go to that
Going to be in the upper 60s today, going to rain on and off I think
