We've got thirty-eight degrees for a high, but I don't think it has reached that temp yet, so since it will be sunset in a short while, it will start getting colder again. It's been partly to mostly cloudy all day, but no rain is predicted.
Last night my 'watch-dog' woke me up barking at 2:20 AM and 3:50 AM and at 6:15 AM. We all know that means that Nannie is up and out of bed again.. Somehow, when I lead her back to her (already made up) bed, and tell her to go back to sleep and stay in the bed, she giggles and smiles. SMH. Not much 'fun' for ME, though!
She's trying everything she can think of to be able to go outside, even volunteered to help me gather trash from all the wastebaskets and then take it all OUT to the bin, and drag the bin OUT to the end of the driveway. I said,"You, I mean WE, are not going out today." I told her that she will be spending the day at the Sr Ctr tomorrow, and she likes going there, and that means she will be OUT of the house all day tomorrow. She's just going to have to be satisfied with that! She said "Okay" with a dubious look on her face. I know the subject will be revisited a few more times before supper.
I'm practicing being cool, calm, and collected.......because she has been sitting in her recliner fidgeting with her sweater and jacket sleeves and buttons, and inspecting the hem of her jacket. Then she sits quietly with her hands folded in her lap, looking out into the backyard for a minutes.....and the fiddling starts all over again. She has to look inside the front flap of the jacket to see the pockets hanging inside, then it is back to those bless'ED SLEEVES, and she has to show me how they can have the same length on each arm (See?.....See?), then pats down the pants on her legs and makes a gesture to indicate the pant-legs go all the way down to her shoes.....and there we are once again, with showing me the shoes, which, incidentally, she has TWO of!!!
Close to suppertime, but I had to eat my very late breakfast and late lunch just a while ago; I had a grilled cheese sandwich, which hit the spot!
Nannie is frowning and chewing on her lower lip, which is a "tell" (like in poker players) that she is trying to THINK about something. I may turn on the TV earlier than usual to distract her from her loop-de-doop ponderings.
Signing off for now--------
Another cool, partly sunny day, here. I went to Master Gardener class with dh this morning, for half the class, anyway. The interns had their pictures taken. I left at the break to go spray at the demo garden, trying to control bugs and disease before they start. I also sketched out how I want to move a couple of roses around, but I'll do that another day. I need to bring dh along to help me move a little stone bench.
I'm doing some laundry while dh went to get an oil change. I dosed off a little, because I was up for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. We stopped to pick up sandwiches at the grocery store after class, and the Reuben sandwich I got was so salty! I suppose it was the sauerkraut.
After we moved my dad to assisted living, he started to wander. They said that was a sign that his dementia was progressing. I wonder if that is what is happening to Nannie.

Hi Tweety
Stars I've never heard of any products with snail slime
Hi Dianah
NJ22 I prefer a busy to slow as well
Work was a bit busier than expected, due to a short meeting and a coworker off, although not as crazy as yesterday thankfully. Today may be quieter barring anything unexpected
After work was pretty quiet too, had to run to the grocery store and exercised. Ordered a copy of my birth certificate for when I renew my drivers license later this year
Was cold in the morning, had the landlord check the heating system, he found a loose valve that he fixed. Thankfully this didn't cause any problems when we had that extreme cold weather a few days ago
Not much planned after work today except for exercise
Will be another fairly cold day in the mid 20s
