Hello all!
Joe, what a relief to reach A/C after running around, doing your errands in the heat! Hope work goes well, and YAY that you have tomorrow off, AND that the temperature will be more tolerable!
Dh has arranged for us to send our computers in to get the battery replaced, as it is swelling. Microsoft sent us boxes to mail them in with. Before sending, per dh, we need to do a back-up of each. He has been attempting this, with recommended software, and it has failed every time. Very frustrating. Will likely go to Best Buy's Geek Squad for their advice on the best way to back it up.
Meanwhile, I tried to access my Microsoft account, to retrieve the password. I have all the other ones, this was the last. There is no way, however, to SEE what the password is. So I requested to change it. Apparently this is not a simple process with Microsoft. Long story short, this has ballooned into a nightmare. I need to re-verify I am who I say I am, to Microsoft, using their template. Oh, but per their policy I cannot submit more than two requests in 24 hr. So couldn't finish the process 2 days ago. I waited, did nothing yesterday. This morning completed the template (responding to dh talking to me while I did it), and submitted, only to realize I requested it for the wrong email addy. So I completed a second request, and submitted that. Who knows if the Microsoft Machine will choose to recognize me and allow me to change my password??? Also, I need to change the phone number associated with the account, so they can send me a text for verification. Such. A. Pain.
Today we return the RV to storage. The floor is still a little dirty inside, from our storm and muddy goings-and-comings. I may clean it or I may not.
We are invited to a Hymn Sing at Oak Glen on Sunday, but are waiting from word from the organizers as to whether the roads are open. Last footage I saw, three days ago (just after the storm), roads to that mountain community were quite full of mud and debris. We'll see.
Hmmmm, I need a better way of supporting the bell pepper and tomato plants. Those skimpy little round supports IN NO WAY are tall enough to support the plants! I had no idea I'd need 5-6 ft tall supports! The tomato plant is supported right now by the established hibiscus next to it. The bell pepper plant is supported by some tall stakes dh put into the ground.
I watched the movie State Fair (1945) the other evening, it was an interesting glimpse of that period in time. Rodgers and Hammerstein composed the music and lyrics, the only time they have done so for a movie, apparently.
OK, enough blathering. Have a good day!
Hello~
I went to pick up my Robaxin; my thighs were screaming this morning, I guess from when I tried to get hubby to move his butt on the den floor. I used my legs against his back, instead of my arms. Not the best choice, but not the worst. My L knee is quiet for the moment, anyway. Robaxin does for me what it is supposed to; I took it the minute I got back on in the car, and now, an hour+ later the thighs are fine.
I picked up a pair of not-expensive shoes (slipper-type, with a heel to hold them on.) at Walmart for hubby as he keeps wearing the ones with the heels mushed down, and they don't stay on his feet when going up the stairs. I knew I was taking a chance that they'd fit him, and thank goodness they do. He actually says they feel pretty good. I hope they last at least a couple of weeks!
When I got back from the pharmacy trip, hubby begged me to drive him over to the ABC store, because he had the shakes so bad. OY, OY, OY! I told him he was not to drink so much that by tonight he can't use his legs again. I was so disgusted with him last night. He said he had a raging headache this morning, and I'm not surprised. He swore he hadn't taken any Xanax, but I've never seen him become such a wet noodle from just the Vodka.
Stopped to pick up a take-out menu from a Chinese Restaurant that we have never been to, although it is closer than the one we have been to previously. This 'new' place doesn't have a buffet, but that's okay by me. May try it soon.

Dianah that is likely normal, slow adjustment to the idea that someone is gone
Stars that was a pain but at least he wasn't hurt
Pretty good day at work yesterday, was able to get some stuff for today done, so hopefully today will be easier
Despite all the heat did a bunch of running around after work...post office, library, grocery store. Was pretty tiring, was glad to get back in air conditioning
Today will find time to do laundry during the day, will have counseling during lunch. Might run a brief errand after work, though it will be hot again. Have tomorrow off, which will be nice
Going to be about 100 again, though should only be about 80 tomorrow
