I recently graduated with my BSN in September, I have been lucky enough to get a position on a medical oncolgy floor at a great hospital in colorado. But I have a burning desire to get in to critical care and have come to realize it could take me a while to work up to at the hospital I am at. A friend of mine got a position in the new grad program at WCH in the ED, I have been looking in to WCH some and I am intrigued by their critical care positions for new grads. I am having a hard time deciding if it is worth applying for, in Colorado it is extremely hard to find a new grad position and wonder if I will end up regreting leaving the position I am in. Just wondered if anyone has been in the same situation, or if anyone has any thoughts on WCH new grad program. I would appreciate any input.
Thanks:confused:

Med/Surg Oncology is a amazing opportunity! Med/Surg gives you the base for all departments. Do not be envious of the ED. With the knowledge you gain from Med/Surg you can do anything, and Oncology is the icing on the cake! Stay where you are!
