Thomas Jefferson Prelicensure BSN Transfer 2019

Published

Has anyone started/submitted their application to Thomas Jefferson University for its prelicensure BSN program? My application has been accepted for a few weeks now and I am waiting to hear back. I am just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes? Also trying to get a feel for how many people apply/the applicant statistics? Thanks everyone.

I applied 12/30 and got an email 2 weeks ago for an interview, which is scheduled for 2/7 (they had very few choices for interview dates and that was the first available)

Hi Lauren,

Good luck in your interview! I got accepted, and can offer some help... I got asked general questions about nursing: why do you want to be a nurse, what are some traits of a nurse, and overcoming an obstacle question. Then I had twenty minutes to complete some short answer questions. The interviewer was very nice, and I think it was evident I was so nervous!!! I don't remember much, but best of luck to you! Please let me know how it goes! Rooting for you!

Thanks so much for the info, and congrats to you! Did they tell you that you were accepting at your interview? How/when were you notified?

One week after my interview, I received an email from Jefferson saying that they wanted to see my final fall grades (from fall 2018) before they made a decision. I think this is because I had physiology in progress and hadn't even taken microbiology yet. I got a notification on a Tuesday mid-January that my transcripts were received and about 9 days later received an acceptance later!

Any updates with you? How was your interview?

Hi everyone. I’m glad I found this thread. I applied to the program on 1/30 and received an email on 2/1 with an invite to interview. I have my interview on 2/20 and I’m very nervous! Especially after learning that it will be a group setting. Can anyone tell me approximately how long the interview is? And possibly any other tips during the process??

I’m curious to learn if there were any applicants whom interviewed, but did not get accepted into the program??

Hi! Congrats on your interview invite! Unfortunately, I live out of the area and had to Skype my interview. Mine took about 25 minutes and was not group interview, so I cannot speak for the group interview aspect. Just be yourself! Try to prepare for the questions, have go-to things to say and mention, and be relaxed!

I'm not sure of anyone who has not been accepted, but try not to think about it! Be confident!
