Thomas Healthcare Institute for CNA class?

U.S.A. North Carolina

Has anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with the Thomas Healthcare institute in Raleigh. It is listed on the NC approved list of CNA programs. I checked their website and I called and something just doesn't sit right about it with me. Their website isn't that informative and when I called the guy answered and I had to ask him if it was the Thomas Healthcare Institute. I live in California and I am moving back to NC this fall and I wanted to take a CNA course and start working ASAP while I try to get into nursing programs. The THC day class I was told is only two weeks long. I would personally go there and check it out but I can't being across the country. You can register in person or online but really all they mean by online is fill out the form and print it and mail it in. I'm not to keen on mailing a check for $650 and not knowing what is going to happen. Any advice would be helpful!

My experience with Thomas Healthcare was a "mixed bag". The classes, instructors and clinical site were all fine but the customer service, a nightmare. Well, I shouldn't say all the customer service was a nightmare but my encounter with "the guy" the original poster" was talking about, I know him. Not personally but I got the same feedback from him. Whenever, I went to class, I always hoped he wasn't in the building. He was often times rude for no apparent reason. When I visited their website, I saw each location is independently owned and operated, from this guys actions, he must have been one of the owners because no business operator in their right mind would hire him! He has the worst customer service skills I've ever seen! Initially when I first ran into him, I thought he must've "gotten up on the wrong side of the bed" as the saying goes, but he was ALWAYS that way. I guess he got up on the wrong side of the dollar sign!:lol2: I'm sure he forgets that we as students, future students or prior students, all paid or will pay tuition and should be treated with respect!!!! AND that he is following in his moming

I'm sorry for the guys from the Charlotte area. My instructors and clinical sites were all different from his experience.

Anyway, the one thing we must remember is Thomas Healthcare, like other schools and facilities we encounter is just a "stepping stone" to get where we really want to be!!! Good luck to sll!

Hi,

Can you send me the name of the instructor you liked at Thomas Healthcare?

I need to practice for clinical exam only...

reply privately to [email protected]

Thanks.

Has anyone had experience with Care One Health Institute CNA 1 program? I am trying to decide between a few different programs, and I'm wondering if this is a good one?

I finished the application packet for the CNA course, however, I'm feeling somewhat hesitant after visiting the facility...also wondering about the clinical portion - where did you do your clinical? also, did you finish within the three weeks, or were there delays?

I do not yet have enough posts logged to send a PM!

Thanks!!

to jsmitty1210: I'm curious - did you find a good program, or any helpful recommendations/reviews?

would not suggest! shady company with shady owners. allegedly they are bankrupt and provide students with empty promises. their employees aren't treated well so the students are given 100%. look elsewhere...there are plenty of other options, don't waste your time or money. will be reporting to BBB and hopefully something can really be done about this problem! Go and make your own opinion, at your own risk. just stating my opinion!
