Thomas Edison State University (TESU) ABSN May 2024 Cohort

Published

Didn't see a thread for the May 2024 Cohort yet so I wanted to make one.

I just interviewed and am awaiting a decision.  Has anyone been accepted/denied yet?

Good morning guys,

I am starting this cohort May 2024, super excited to start. By any chance, has anyone started a group chat? It would be nice to start getting to know each other and preparing for the next months working together.

thank you,

Bryan

Thank you. Did they give you the break down for the tuition yet ?

The tuition is about $39,000 + $500 for each classes with clinicals

Okay! Roughly, do you know how the clinicals they are? I was under the assumption that there's a clinical once a week for 12 hours for 15 months straight.  If this is correct, is that 60 clinicals that's about 30,000 additional

Hi! I'm applying for Fall. Does anyone know how big the cohorts are and how competitive the program is compared to others in NJ? Thanks!

No, there are approximately 6 to 10 clinical courses x 500 = 3000 to 5000 in addition to 39000 tuition. The program will be around 42000 to 45000, still much cheaper than most schools in the state. Clinical is twice weekly and will be less as you get closer to graduation. Clinical could be anywhere from 8 to 12hr 2x weekly.

I will recommend speaking to an advisor, I was Advised that for the May cohort 2024 it would be 25 students and they open a window for an extra 5 students if the committee approves.

Thank you! I have an advising appointment coming. Wow small classes🤞

Great! Generate a list of questions and have your transcripts and available. That would save you to much time and or help you on your decision.

@Bryan Mata

What do you know about the Hybrid classes ?

Hi,

I don't know much about it yet, from what I understand lecture are hold virtually at a specific time and labs hold on campus/clinicals.

Great.

regarding the dosage test, what do you think of this. I believe that there is a test every clinical for dosage. Do you know if it's a thing where if we don't pass the dosage test we can't move on? How do you think that works and where do you think we can get help for students who never familiarized with the dosage.

Hi there,

I think we need to wait until the classes start to learn from techniques from the profesor. I have been looking at videos on YouTube, I think the math is simple. maybe we should create a group and share ideas for those starting this cohort May 2024. ☺️☺️
