Hello everyone!
Today 4/10/14 was the third time that I have taken the NCLEX. The last two times that I took it, I had gone to 265 both times and failed. I even tried the PVT those times and got the credit card page. However, today, I got 265 questions again. I felt that I failed. I was completely devastated. I walked out with my head spinning. I got out to my car and did the PVT and I got the "good popup". I was reading online that there are some false positives, but I hope that is not the case. I had a lot of SATA's, 5 math questions, a bunch of who would you assess FIRST, and alternate format questions. This test felt different than the last two.

Pls how did you study this time, did u practice only questions or read more of contents? I have texted twice too and will be retaking next month. How long did you study for this time. Were you confident about the questions you saw, I dont like SATA
Congratulations too
Jennifer_app,
It felt different in the way the questions were worded. I mean it felt almost harder with the comprehension. Like I said, I had a LOT of SATA questions and at one point I just kept getting them in a row. I think I had at least 7 in a row before it switched to a which patient is priority to see first type question. I felt confident through out. I didn't focus on which question number I was on or how much time was left. I just really focused on what the question was asking.
When I hit about 200, I started to panic because I thought that it was going to be a repeat of the last two times. However, I stuck with my confidence and positivity and just keep plugging along. My head was just spinning afterwards.

Ah! Thanks for providing such a thorough explanation. Congrats BTW your hard work has paid off.. I am panicking with SATA. I am taking it in 4 days and feeling in confident.
Feeling unconfident

A couple of them were books, a study guide that was on allnurses.com and lab values posted on here as well. I will list out the books for you.Books Used:Saunders Comprehensive Review for NCLEX-RN Examination-5th Edition: I relied mostly on this book as fall back to go over content that I needed review on. The questions in this book were easy to me, so I really didn't use it for the questions. The book is a good book, but all of the chapters have stuff in there that is not needed for the NCLEX. I would highly recommend getting this book though for a future reference.Saunders Q & A Review for NCLEX-RN Examination: Most of the questions in this book were applying based questions which are on the lower end of the NCLEX. I used this book at first to gain some confidence in my abilities to answer questionsPrioritization, Delegation, and Assignment: Practice Exercises for the NCLEX-RN Examination by LaCharity: This book is the book that I absolutely studied a lot. I did all of the questions in the book and read every rationale. This book by far helped me get through those prioritizing which patient to see first questions as well as delegation. The questions in this book are just like NCLEX style and were challenging. I would HIGHLY recommend this book!! It has a lot of SATA style questions in it as well. I had rescheduled my NCLEX twice because I did not feel prepared at first. I had received my ATT on the 18th of February and had some other life issue going on. Once I got those out of the way, MY main focus was studying. I studied for about a month every day for about 2-3 hours a day. I did questions, content, and lab values. When I came across the study guide on this website, I mainly reviewed that that last week leading up to the NCLEX. I went to the local library and found a quiet corner desk/table and studied. I made sure to read every rationale and understand as to why that's the best answer. You will pass!!! Keep the positive vibes flowing and don't give up! You can do this!!

What were your study materials? I used PDA by LaCharity and that helped me a ton in breaking down those SATA questions.
