Hi there! I have been browsing this site for a few weeks now and just joined. I am currently working as a full time Esthetcian. I have always had the idea of going to nursing school in the back of my mind but am a little intimidated! I know how hard and competitive it is and would love some honest feedback from those that have ever been in my shoes. I would basically have to start from scratch. I have a fair amount of general education credits I earned form a community college right out of highschool. However I did not always do as well as I could have do to my priorities being out of order! I am 27(soon to be 28) now and defenitely more mature, responsible, and motivated. I just worry that my poor performance in the past will make it immpossible for me to get into the program! I am prepared to retake any pre-reqs that apply to the nursing program, and do whatever it takes to earn high grades along with a GPA that qualifies. I guess I am just wondering if I am a fool to give this a try? Any sugestions on ways to prepare myself as best as possible? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks So Much!

If nursing is really what you want to do then you should go for it! I would recommend making an appointment with a counselor at the school or schools you want to apply for. They could offer you some great advice and give you a place to start!
Best of luck!
