Thinking of moving to the baltimore area

:redbeatheI have one semester left and I will be graduating from the ADN program in Aug @ Chipola College which is in FL. I am thinking of moving to the Baltimore area. My question is hows the job market for New Grads? I have a year exp as an LPN in subactue and mental health.....Let me Know.....

Typically, it sounds like it has been pretty strong. However, I have heard recent rumbling (search this forum) in regard to some having difficulty finding a new grad position. My guess is that it is better than some, but not untouched by the economic crisis.

While its not as sweet as a few years ago there are plenty of nursing jobs, jobs for new grads and our rate of pay is pretty good, imo. If you want to start in a speciality like ICU or ED for example most places have new grad orientations that are held a couple of times a year and often fill up quickly. If you want to stay in Psych you shouldn't have any problem finding a job.
