The two biggest "players in Florida are Education Management Corporation's South University and Phoenix University.

You can go to (collegescorecard.ed.gov) and look up their graduation and retention rates only to come to the conclusion that their real business is that of a loan mill. They run through students like so much effluvium through a sewer.

But in the sunshine state there are many others.

So go to a reputable school that is affordable.

The for-profits have a lot of nerve charging the tuition they do for mediocre at best results.

Try a community college for your preliminary courses and then with a record of success transfer to a reputable school.

Don't be in a hurry because the bad actors play off of desperation like a shark to blood.

One more thing: many for-profits are slowly dying financially as more and more potential students are getting on to them.

Just consider the recent closing of ITT Tech and Corinthian in 2015.

Don't become a statistic. And above all don't be desperate. You will attain your goals but be smart and economical to ensure you'll have a life, not debt slavery.
