hi everyone!
im carla, a nursing student from the Philippines. We're having a sort of evaluative research on the effects of virtual labs on nursing students since virtual labs are kinda new here in the Philippines. Not all schools here have that... so we're just trying to find out the effects of it (virtual labs) on students. I'm just wondering if you could help me out? Could you help me find people or organizations who have been somehow studying this particular matter...
Thanks... :)

This is a new concept for me, please define. I assume this is a internet based lab or perhaps a teleconference/videoconference type experience? I do think technology is important and has a place in the educational system; however, the human interaction of an instructor is crucial to learning and should be a major part of the learning process.
Hello GilaRN!
thanks for replying!
what's special in this virtual lab is that it has a simulator that would react to nursing interventions like how a human would. this is kinda new here in the philippines. only few schools have that. so, we're just trying to evaluate and look at the effects of that to students. I am already a senior in this university. Our Clinical instructors used the traditional method of teaching during my time, when I was in pre-nursing. So, we could somehow compare students now (who are using that facility) and those who don't or haven't used that facility... if learning is much more effective with that facility or not. :)
Thanks again... and i hope you could help me find sources of information for my group to go deeper into this. Thanks! :)
