do you think i have a good resume going for nursing?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I wanted to take an EMT or CNA course this Fall semester, but I actually can't since it will delay my studies. Since, it is good experience, it will eventually help me; but may be too premature.

Anyways, right now I volunteer at the City of Hope Medical Center, I already have like 50 hours of service, plus I just landed a job at my local hospital, I basically deliver trays to patients, take requests, collaborate nutritional needs for every meal, and I am really exposed to a lot of stuff... it really gives me a lot of insight to the Nursing field. I even witnessed a code blue, so I am wondering, with what I am doing, does it look good so far?

I understand I will have to increase my grades to A's! But, As for nursing, what do you think? Share your opinions! Because, I feel like I should be doing a CNA class or something like some youngsters are doing, but it doesn't fit into my schedule right now... :/

Probably depends what type of school you're shooting for. Some value perfect grades more than others. You sound like you're on the right track. Having your current work experience and then getting your CNA will help you get a better CNA job too ;)
