Choosing a new route, is this decision more practical??
Hi, I'm a Pre-nursing student... And into my second year in college, I feel like taking these prerequisites isn't for me anymore. I can't sit for 3 hours to a math lecture or English lecture.. I want to start my Nursing courses, and feel like I can succeed if I take smaller steps. I was going to pursue the RN program, but right now my grades are not stellar!! I am taking Philosophy 101 and hoping to take a CNA course next semester ... I wanna try to look for a job in the field after I finish the training too. And in the fall semester of next year, I'm going to take the LVN intro prerequisite to get into their program. I feel like I can do this much better , and it feels more feasible and practical to me. What are your thoughts on this?

How did you manage General Biology as PreNursing Student??
I am taking Biology 105 lecture and lab, also how are the labs? What were some of the tasks you do, and how is the environment? Along with that, I'm taking Philosophy 101, and Math.

Do you think Dental Hygienists make more than Nurses? (RN)
Tell me your thoughts on the advancements of both careers?

Can I land CNA job with my experience and education?
Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I hope to stick with my current job at the hospital for at least a year, and will consider a tech job since they don't require a CNA license, thanks for the info!

Yeah! I understand I have to train in order to get the job! I just wanted to know if I am a good candidate for a CNA job when I get certified?

Can I land CNA job with my experience and education?
Hello all! I am a second year Pre-nursing student at Citrus College and plan on entering the RN program in the fall of 2014. Anyways, I have 9 months of experience working at McDonald's, from there I now work at a large 500 bed Hospital. I work in nutritional services, so I deliver patient trays, make meals, and setup meals according to the patients diet. I also volunteer at a Cancer Research Center which is also going good for 6 months since I have been there. If I decide to become a CNA, would I have a good chance of getting a stable position??? Thanks!!!!

do you think i have a good resume going for nursing?
I wanted to take an EMT or CNA course this Fall semester, but I actually can't since it will delay my studies. Since, it is good experience, it will eventually help me; but may be too premature. Anyways, right now I volunteer at the City of Hope Medical Center, I already have like 50 hours of service, plus I just landed a job at my local hospital, I basically deliver trays to patients, take requests, collaborate nutritional needs for every meal, and I am really exposed to a lot of stuff... it really gives me a lot of insight to the Nursing field. I even witnessed a code blue, so I am wondering, with what I am doing, does it look good so far? I understand I will have to increase my grades to A's! But, As for nursing, what do you think? Share your opinions! Because, I feel like I should be doing a CNA class or something like some youngsters are doing, but it doesn't fit into my schedule right now... :/
