Things i wish i knew before nursing school

Published

I wish I had known that I would question my own competency, wonder if I have chosen the right career and feel like quitting every Friday. In general I hate nursing school and the way it makes me feel about myself.... My grades are fine - but clinicals and paper are a bit hard and some days I feel like the volume of information is just too much . . . Can someone who has graduated tell me if it's worth it?

UGH Nursing_Mamacita I HATED ACUTE CARE!!

I hated the class, I hated the clinical!! lol

That being said I lived for my clinical days. I loved talking to my patients, taking what I read in books and SEEING it in real life. I loved teaching and walking my patients in the halls. And the more I did it, the more I loved it. And I agree with the poster that said they learned more from their patients. Nursing ROCKS!
