Heyy yall

My friend got accepted into the Summer program last year and she got her acceptance in January! I don't think I can wait that long LOL. I submitted my application last week and I haven't gotten anything back.

Overall GPA: 3.04 (pre-med before at UH and it was rough)

Science GPA: 3.5

TEAS: 89.7

EMT-B License, BLS, PALS, ACLS

I am currently working in an ER at UTMB and have been for the past 4 years. I'm also doing an internship with a non-profit that provides holistic psychosocial resources for single moms.

Wow, your stats are impressive, well done!

I totally feel you, I'm so anxiously waiting LOL. I hope they send out the acceptance letters in January and I pray we all get in!

Hi guys I wonder how much the resume and personal statement weigh in the admission process. Like my stats r on the low side and I hope it pulls through.

How is the Summer section? What were her thoughts starting out during Summer?

I've always been told that the personal statement has a lot of weight to it. This applies to medical, dental, PA, etc applications, so I'm sure it applies to this!

There's not much of a difference. I do think the Summer section is smaller? I could be wrong.

Also, does anyone know how the calculate science GPA? My overall science is like a 2.5 (UH is rough) but my pre-req science is a 3.5. I hope UTMB can see the difference 🥲
