Starting this topic early! How is everyone's application process going?

I can't help with much else, but I've lived on the island for a little over a year and campeche cove apts are great! they are about 20-25min from campus though. 

I've heard some bad things about island bay & lakeside at campeche apts from friends. also, I would try to check flood rates in areas you decide to tour!

For those of you who are still waiting to hear back from Cizik, are you going to commit to UTMB if Cizik does not respond by Thursday or Friday?

I have until this Friday to decide for UTMB, but if Cizik doesn't respond by tmr, then I'm gonna go ahead and put my deposit down. If Cizik responds after that and I get accepted, then I'm gonna drop my acceptance from UTMB and accept Cizik

I also have until then but I do not want to put a 200 dollar deposit down, and then Cizik responds. 😢😢

LOL I don't want to do that either, but I want the security of knowing that I'll at least have an option to go to UTMB

For people who are wanting to accept at Cizik preferably, can I know why? I was accepted at Cizik and put my deposit down already. Haven't heard anything from UTMB. I've already moved my life all the way down to pearland and got an apartment. I guess what I'm asking is, it seems like Cizik is a little more preferable. Is there a reason for that?

For me, I originally wanted to go there because I already live in Houston and would not have to pay rent at all and UTH is one of the top programs But, the more I think about it, I think living near the beach and away from home would be nice. I also really really liked UTMB campus, BUT I'm still not completely set on where to go 😂😂

Yes, UTMB requires a 200 dollar deposit that goes toward your tuition once you get accepted to hold your seat!

Yes! Same with Cizik. They're both $200 to ensure that you have a seat for classes! It's a lot I'm struggling out here🙈

I think UTMB is a really good program I feel like the students are the happiest there, but staying in Houston is preferable for me so I think it's more out of convenience that I would choose Cizik, plus it's a good program too. I have heard that Galveston is a pretty good little college town though so if I don't end up getting into UTHealth then I'm OK with going to UTMB!

Those still waiting to commit, will you commit today if you do not hear back from UTH? It doesn't seem like there were any acceptances yesterday or today.
