I also wasn't aware of this at the beginning of applying either. Luckily I took Bio1 in my first year so I was able to just able to use that. Sorry I don't have any info to help maybe just see what u can do like submitting any random elective u might have?

I've contacted UTMB to see what they have to say. It's just a bit annoying because this was not on the prerequisite list posted on their website (and it still isn't). This "elective science" requirement only appears when you click on the prerequisite link found on the NursingCAS application.

Yea it really threw me for a loop too bc I didn't see it anywhere either until randomly on NCAS like you too, I was super confused. Good luck hopefully they get back to you about that soon!

Hey guys I just wanted to ask a question. I checked the prerequisite courses and there's a requirement for an "elective science"? This was not on the prerequisite list when I first applied.

I applied about two weeks ago and it just asked me for any "free elective" as long as it was minimum 5 credits. I took a public speaking and intro to ethics class so I submitted those.

Hi guys, I'm applying as well wishing us all luck!😊I'm an early applicant so I'm kinda anxiously waiting. Sadly, I don't know if y'all saw, but the deadlines extended until March 15th!😭

Did they ever reply to you?

Yeah, they said the elective science was an old prerequisite that they have replaced with 6 credit hours of free electives. Guess I was looking at an old version of the prerequisites.

Your stats are definitely competitive. I think you have a good chance!

Anyone else feel comfortable sharing their stats? Here are mine:

TEAS: 96 overall

GPA: 3.8

Prereq GPA: 3.8

Science GPA: also 3.8 LOL

I have some experience as a pharm tech and I am about to graduate with my bachelor's degree. I'm hoping that my TEAS score and personal statement will really pull me through, but I'm not the best writer.😫 just hoping for the best. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE WE GOT THIS🙏🙏🙏

Hi!! My stats are cumulative GPA: 3.78, TEAS: 89%. I have a little bit of volunteer experience at a senior living facility, but am kinda lacking in other healthcare and volunteer experience so I'm hoping I'll be okay. Good luck to everyone!!

Hey, have y'all's transcripts been received by NursingCAS yet? I bought and sent my transcripts back in Jan. 19, but on the website it still says, "Not Arrived".
