The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) Fall 2025 Traditional BSN

Published

Hi!! I started this forum for those applying to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) for the Fall 2025 Traditional BSN program. I couldn't find any previous forums for the 2025 start term, so hopefully we can all connect here.

Would y'all mind sharing yours stats? Such as TEAS score & GPA?

I have low confidence that I'll get accepted with a 70% TEAS & a GPA of 3.8. Although I do have shadowing hours too. I feel like it won't help as much🙃

Hey good afternoon! I am scared too I applied to the school with a 3.4 GPA, 78 TEAS score, and with 2 years of PCT experience. I felt so awkward in the online interview, rather been an in person interview LOL. Anxious to hear back.

I hear you!! I'm losing sleep just waiting for results. I'm praying they start sending them out Monday morning.

Anyone nervous?

I just called today and they said they aren't announcing until April 21st...

That's crazy! Ugh a whole another month :,)

OMG did they say why? 🫠🫠

No, they were very brief. "Acceptance and denial letters will be put out that day.” Maybe someone else wants to try and call and ask to confirm?

I have a 4.0 GPA with the college I am currently with, finishing my prerequisites; I have approximately a 3.7 cumulative GPA with every university I have attended. I am prior military so I have attended several universities. I have an 82 TEAS score. The lowest TEAS score accepted is a 65, and I heard that UT Health has about an 80% acceptance rate. Hopefully, we won't have an issue getting accepted. With a 3.8 GPA, you should have been invited into NSLS, or PTK. Hopefully, you put those on your application.

It seems like they're telling everyone different dates for when acceptance letters will be sent out. Last year I think they came out on April 11, and they had the same deadline of February 1. It's just a waiting game at this point. I hope we all get accepted.

How did you write down the NSLS/PTK on your application? I received it but never officially signed up. I'm think I can go back into NursingCAS and add it. I am prior military as well. Did you put any military related information on your application?

I put all my military awards, and my NSLS/PTK under achievements under Supporting Information..

I received this message yesterday. I'm assuming you probably all received it. Looks like acceptance emails will be sent out the week of April 21-25

Dear Applicant,

I am reaching out to update you on the status of your application for our Fall 2025 Traditional BSN program. As you might know, our office has been short-staffed, which has led to some delays in our application review process. I want to inform you that we are presently reviewing applications, and we expect to send out decisions via email during the week of April 21-25. All decisions—whether accepted, placed on the waitlist, or denied—will be communicated through email.

We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through the application reviews.

Thank you,

Chris Espinoza
