I am looking at several FNP programs in Alabama, but can't find much on the University of North Alabama other than the website. Has anyone heard anything about the FNP program? It is very affordable ($12,900 tuition), not for profit, and CCNE accredited, so I am wondering why this school's masters program is not discussed on here. Does it have a bad reputation? Thank you for any insight or information!

I work for the government, and found out I get 33% off tuition and that sealed the deal for me.the program looks very straightforward and no extra touchy-feely theory mumbo-jumbo which I love! Good luck to you! Maybe I will see you at the on-site required trips?
Yes, I'll be starting classes on the Oct/Nov. start date. I'll be at the November on site training unless I end up getting accepted into the University of Alabama. I was supposed to know last week if I got accepted there or not. So I'm hoping this week I'll hear something because the deadline at UNA to register for classes is quickly approaching.
@mhmnursedaisy86 Did you start the program at UNA? If so, can you share some feedback. I got accepted for Fall 2024. Thank you in advance.
@LauraMH,
How is the post-master's program at UNA? Are you done? I am looking to start next year and would like reviews on the program. The program price is what makes me want to go there I have been accepted into Frontier program and have heard amazing things about it but the price is very expensive.
hi
I have a question about una. I'm starting Jan 7 but am little nervous about what to expect. I'm 7 weeks postpartum and just wondering how the course load will be? Is it doable with small kids? I did well in my ASN, and my BSN was just a ton of discussion posts. So I'm nervous about having to take actual test again. Just wondering if I should postpone my start date for the fall? I really want to get started but I also want to be successful. Cant seem to find much info online about the program.
Also, I'm Not a new nurse...have been practicing for a little over 10 years, with 8 years being in the ER. So not sure if that will help or hurt me in grad school LOL
Any info would be appreciated!
