The University of Arizona - CRNA

Published

Hi! I decided to take  the time to pay it forward and give some insights to applicants who may be interested in this program. This is a hybrid program with synchronous online anesthesia courses and requirements to travel to Tucson for skills and testing.

There is nothing about this program that is "easier" because it is online. In fact, I would argue that it can make it harder. On the other hand, this program allows (for the first year) some flexibility and "freedom" because of the online accessibility.

Standard are set high, exams proctored, simulation labs are amazing. University of Arizona is a state of the art school with high expectations. The professors are strict yet understandable and become your family.

There are clinical options throughout the  country. You do not get to choose your clinical site, but you may provide a wish list. I am only in my second year of the program. I am yet to start clinical therefore I can not comment on those experiences specifically but I hear no complaints!

Hello,

Do you know of any clinical sites in NJ, NY or PA. I'm located in northern NJ. Thanks

Thank you for the info! Does U of A require Physics for admission? The website is confusing, and I haven't received a response from the school. TIA

No physic pre rec required.

Not for this school.  Current states of clinical sites: AZ (majority), NM, TX, OH, WV, NH, CA, MT

How is the program set up? I was reading something about it being online. Is this like majority of the time you're taking your courses online and show up once a term for in person stuff kind of thing? And then once clinicals start how many days a week are you in clinical vs being in didactic. Tryin to figure out if I'll have to move closure to the school at some point
