The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) CRNA - 2025 Application

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing the UAB CRNA application process for a Summer 2025 start, sharing experiences of receiving interview invitations, being waitlisted, and getting accepted off the waitlist. There is confusion and frustration about not knowing the specific clinical location component they will be assigned to before paying the deposit, leading some to consider other school options.

Didn't see a topic for UAB CRNA application cycles for a Summer 2025 start so I wanted to get this going!

What component did you get accepted at?

So that's the issue right now. They told me for people who put down "any" on their application they will let you know which component you're in by August 16th. But my deposit is due before then. So I feel like they got me going in blind. Really hoping I just get lucky and they make the decision early. So probably waiting to the last second to pay the deposit just in case it's one of the sites I really don't want.

Oh! In the meantime are you waiting on decisions anywhere else?

Yeah, I've been accepted somewhere else. I would prefer UAB, but there's a couple of component site locations that just don't work for me. I assumed when you got the offer letter they would tell you which site you would be in.

Well. Sounds like they definitely want me to put down my deposit without knowing which component I'll be in. I'm just gunna go with the other school I got into. Hopefully you get that spot off the waitlist. Best of luck.

Reasonably so I guess. Best of luck for the other school. And fingers crossed!!

Hi! I am applying for the May 2026 cohort, and received an interview so I am so super excited! Does anyone have any tips or advice for the interview? Is it half EI and half clinical or mainly EI? I'm hearing mixed information about the style. Also if it is mainly clinical are you tested mainly on your ICU information, as in interview questions stem from your resume or is it broad ICU questions? I've attended an interview that asked nothing about my ICU but asked random questions about EKG's and neuro questions but I'm in the MICU?  I just want to tailor my studying correctly for this interview, thanks!!
