2014 - The Medical City

Hello there, fellow RNs! Have you ever applied for a staff nurse position this year at The Medical City? How was your application, pre-employment, training, and hiring experience? Share us your thoughts!

I didn't receive a text as well, but are we going to conclude that we don't pass? HR said they may not be able to text since they're not yet finish in checking, they might finish it next week. So, I don't know? Haha. Actually, this was my second time. I passed the exam last year but it was different from the recent. I wanted to believe I may not be able to pass but I'm thinking what made me fail it. I don't know if the one I talked to is just giving me false hopes for saying I can wait till next week. :unsure: do you know someone in our batch who already got text from them?

well, i'll try to call next week. no, i dont know anyone since i'm from iloilo. the exam wasn't that hard, right?

Yes, it's not that hard. Okay, I will also call again on Monday. I really hope that the hope I have is worth it.

yep. crossfingers! btw, are we going to pay them for training? i really dont have any idea how they process hiring.

As far as I know there is training fee I guess 1-2k? That's what my sister told me since she worked there before but that was like 5 years ago? So I'm not sure this time.

The process starts from nsg.exam, psych exam, initial interview, final interview, and then the training part with lectures and practical applications. That was the process that I know but I'm not super sure if there are changes.

Hi laleyn, I woukd like to ask if it's possible that the HR will text even after the announced deadline? Do I have to really accept that I didn't pass the exam? Haay, I just called and they said they're not yet finish checking the papers, I'm confused.

I guess it's the total training fee. :D much way better than other's t.fee right?:D

Fissure, yup she's the one I talked to. She said they are not yet finished so we really have to wait. Aug 2 is just their target date. How about you have you called? I forgot to ask if they'll only text those who passed after they just finish to check all of the papers.
