The Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) Health Information Technology (HIT) Summit will take place June 13-14, 2011, in Baltimore, MD. The summit will bring together nearly 300 post-acute and long-term care professionals from across the health information management industry. ANI is proud to collaborate with the LTPAC HIT Collaborative as a strategic partner for this highly informative event showcasing the latest research, standards, policies, and technology affecting HIT and electronic health records (EHR) initiatives.
The LTPAC HIT Summit addresses the health information technology affecting long-term and post-acute care professionals. The information presented at the summit will be essential as the industry moves toward the transition, and will include: state initiatives and grant opportunities, EHR certification, HIT initiatives, current research and studies, and HIT and EHR implementation. A collection of industry experts and speakers will provide the guidance these individuals need to ensure successful EHR implementation at their organizations.
Speakers at the Summit this year include:

- Claudia Williams from ONC will discuss the policy priorities for the agency and initiatives to support LTPAC adoption of health IT.
- Sean Cavinaugh from the new CMS Innovation Center will address the initiatives and priorities for advancing new models of care to achieve their new "triple aim" goal; and
- other key industry leaders will discuss important transition of care and rehospitalizations priorities, new emerging accountable care organizations, health information exchange initiatives, the changing landscape for quality reporting and much more.
Through lively dialogues and expert-led discussion, the summit will explore key issues, trends and solutions for a variety of high priority areas, including: the healthcare stimulus package, the administration change, and opportunities for post-acute and long-term care. It will also provide an in-depth look at the Challenge Grant winners and applicants.
The goal of the summit is to provide comprehensive education, resources, and support during a time of incredible industry transition. Professionals working in long-term and post-acute care will gain abundant knowledge and application skills specially tailored to their technology needs.
