Hello. Happy Holidays. Can anyone share when the deadline is to accept your seat for people who were accepted?

Hey! The deadline they gave me was December 8th.

Sorry y'all, my OCD is kicking in hard. In the title, could we please change "John" to "Johns," and the apostrophe to come before '27' (like '27)? Thanks so much ❤️

personally, I have 2 years of CVICU experience, took my CCRN, graduate biochem, and I listed a couple of unit-based groups I am in on my resume. I spent more time on my  essay/personal statement than I did for other schools. Funny enough, out of the 4 schools I interviewed for, I felt worst about this one. I was nervous and rambling but I think they could tell I just wanted to impress them. I tried to lighten it up at the end of interview and make some jokes.

If I can give any advice it would be to apply to 4-6 schools. I have a great GPA (3.9) and all the other requirements/ resume embellishments, but the competition is insane. I was accepted at 1, waitlisted at 2, and rejected at 1. So your best bet is to shoot a wider net.

Great interview story! Your profile is very competitive so it's shocking that you still got waitlisted. Congrats on your acceptance and thanks for responding!

Hey. I hope this helps.

I didn't  have a great GPA (3.3) cumulative. I did get my CCRN but I think my highlights are where I've gone with career. I've been a nurse 7 years, all in the ICU.

And all specialties mostly: CVICU, BICU, VICU, NSICU, STICU, SICU, and Transplant ICU. I've also been teaching nursing students as my second job and have pursued publication while COVID-19, helping standardizing some standards in our hospital.

My recommendation is to make yourself as well rounded as possible, I think that's what helped me.

I got rejected from 2, accepted by 2 and waitlisted by 1.

But I think it's holistic as a whole. Goood luck! ?

Thanks for the tip on being well rounded! Your varied experience is admirable. You'll be a great addition to the profession. Congrats!
