Hello everyone,
I know that in this job market a new grad can't be picky, but I do not have the option to go out of state so I am interested in learning about NJ hospitals. I'm interested in full-time but will consider part-time and perdiem.
I am interested in these hospitals in particular: St. Joseph's, St. Barnabas system (interested to see which hospital out of the whole system people recommend the most-looking at St. barnabas Medical Center and newark beth israel), Overlook and Morristown memorial hospital, Hackensack Medical Center, Jersey City Medical Center, Trinitas, Raritan Bay Medical Center, UMDNJ University Hospital, RWJU Hospital in Hamilton, JFK hospital and St. Peter's University Hospital.
I wanted to get the perspectives of other fellow RNs working in these and other NJ hospitals: (besides what it says on their Nursing hospital web page)
Any information will be helpful, i know the situation out there is tough and I'll be lucky to get any job, I'm just curious about these hospitals and want to know more info. Thank you in advance and all information is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I start working tomorrow at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, so Im not really sure yet how they like new grads (I am a new grad as well). My friend works there and she says they are very nice, orientation lasts 12 weeks. I will get more info once i start working. To be honest with you, ANY hospital that will accept you is good, because it is so hard to get into whatever hospital, either the best or the worst. Get your 1 year acute experience anywhere and then you can be more picky.
Good luck with your search.
