Hi guys- I will be interviewing with the Graduate Nursing committee for the BSN-PhD program on Monday. I am so nervous, because I really want to get into this program.
Any tips from those of you who have gone through this process on how I can prepare? I have been reading the professors' research studies, and have already proposed my research plan, etc. I'm a little worried, because my interests are in improving nurse staffing, work environments, policies, etc. in order to improve standards of care and patient outcomes. I haven't found that the program's professors are focusing on any of that in their research. Will I need to assure them that I will be a good fit, and that I don't have a bulldog agenda?
My clinical background does correlate with several of the professors' backgrounds. Should I highlight that shared background?
Also, how do I express that I am willing to go along with the needs of the institution's research agendas without seeming wishy-washy on my own goals?
Thanks in advance for any insight you could give in this. I usually do not get nervous about things like this, but I really, really want this!
