I am about to graduate from a 2-year RN program and I am already offered my dream job! How did it happen? Aside from the obvious hard work and a goal to excel in everything school related, I had a lot of help from the many nurses and students on this forum. I encourage all nervous students to use this forum to search for topics of interest.
This is where I found help regarding: (search the forum topics)
- Writing a professional resume
- Writing a follow-up thank you note
- How to manage time as a new nurse
- Who to ask for when inquiring about a desired position
- a SLEW of "brain sheets" to help me as a future nurse
- Learning from other students, new nurses, and seasoned nurses how to prepare for and what to focus on as I get ready to start my new career.
THANK YOU to all of you.
I am looking forward to sharing my own experience and after this first post become actively involved in helping others and raising new questions. See you on the boards
Congrats! I agree with you that this forum has practically SAVED my life in regards to learning and being ambitious in our career as nurses. I am happy for you and hope that I too can be lucky as you to get a job offer. Please share your steps and tips for success!
