Thank you card after phone interview

I have a phone interview next week with a representative from a nursing school to which I'm applying. I was wondering if it would be weird/ too much to send a thank you card after the interview? I know that after in-person interviews, it's nice to send a card, but what do you all think about sending one after a phone interview? I want to be polite and grateful, but I don't want to come off as desperate or a "brown noser".

Thoughts?

Hi-

The interviewer is still taking/making the time to talk with you, so I think a thank you card is appropriate and not to over the top. It could simply say, "thank you for taking the time to talk with me on the phone regarding application to X school/X nursing program. I look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely, X."

They would have to be a real sour puss if they took it in a negative way! ;)

Awesome, thanks for the reassurance and advice!

I would definitely go for it. With everything being so competitive, it doesn't hurt to stand out. I think it's a nice touch.
