Hi. I'm looking for a txt book that will help me develop anesthesia care plans for patients with coexisting disease. Most CRNA's and students I talk to LOVE Essence of Anesthesia by Roizen. The problem is that it is out of print and everyone wants $200+ for it. Is there another book out there that is comparable? I was looking at Anesthesia and Co-existing Disease. Any comments on this book or any other would be much appreciated.

Try the Anesthesiologists Manual to Surgical Procedures by Jaffe. Very similar to Essence.

anesthesia and co-existing disease should be a core material throughout your program. there is no substitute!
I bought that book too......and sent it back. It all depends on your learning style.
