Hello all! I didn't see a thread for the TWU CRNA class starting in 2025, so I wanted to start one! Feel free to share stats & ask questions!

Congrats. The school said they received over 1,000 applications this cycle and are only interviewing 200. Interviews will be 1-1.5 hours
if you received an interview then you beat over 800 other applicants who applied

Oh. My. Gosh. Only 200 interviews for 105 spots? Is this for certain?

I recommend knowing which types of patients you take care of regularly and understanding what is occurring down to the cellular level with those patients. I also recommend knowing which drugs you use on a daily basis and regularly in your ICU...again, down to the cellular level. I would suggest that you think about clinical questions as well as emotional intelligence questions they could ask you. Also, remember, anything you bring up in your interview is fair game. So, if you bring up CRRT, you better know the ins and outs of what you are doing down to a cellular level 🙂 The last thing I will say about preparing for the interview..PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. I cannot stress this enough. You should have your SO, mom/dad, brother/sister, coworker, or dog listen to you while you practice interviewing or answering questions. You don't want to show up on interview day stumbling over your words. Even if you don't know which questions they are going to ask, you can still practice your delivery. Hope this helps a little! I know it's very vague but interviews vary from person to person depending on who is interviewing them.

Anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Be prepared for anything

They are actually interviewing close to 300 applicants. This came straight from the people who are accepting your applications. Just know that yes you beat 700 other people, but now you still need to prove yourself to get in!

They are interviewing close to 300 students this year. Our interview last year was about the same and they took 108 students.
Just a general note! For those of you who are interviewing, CONGRATULATIONS! You're one step closer to being a CRNA 🙂 I have been trying to keep up with the TxWes thread, but if you have any questions, please feel free to message me privately. I am also willing to send my phone number if it is easier to text/call with your questions etc. I am a current student and work very closely with the professors and our staff who will email you with information for interviews, setting up accounts, etc, so if you have any burning questions, send them my way. If I don't know the answer, I will figure it out for you. Classes are busy but I will respond when I can!

Are there any math questions in the interview? If so, what type of math? Is it dosage calculation?
