Texas Wesleyan University CRNA 2022

Updated:   Published

I haven't seen a thread for Texas Wesleyan 2022 program start, so figured I'd start one. Has anyone submitted their application yet? I'm just about done wrapping mine up. I noticed they didn't have early application this year like they have in precious?

Yeah I have to fly in the night before because of my work schedule. I also need to make my flight back in order to work the next night. I was going to email them tonight. Maybe if more applicants email them as well they will consider it? I know they did virtual interviews last year.

I was thinking the same thing as well! I plan on emailing them tomorrow in hopes of a response Monday or Tuesday. We should all do it ! LOL

I sent an email! I think it would be helpful if others  emailed too, I keep seeing articles about hundreds of flights being cancelled. DFW & Love Field are notorious for cancelling tons of flights. I definitely think there are benefits to interviewing in-person but I’m so worried about my flight being cancelled on my way to Texas and completely missing the interview. Or it being cancelled on my way back and being stranded! It would be great if they offered virtual interviews as an option, especially for those flying from far away.

I will also be emailing TXU about considering the option of virtual interviews. Half of the staff in my ICU are out with COVID and the likelihood of getting infected while travel is very high with this new strain. Moreover, I don't want to get stuck in texas or miss my flight there

Let's cross our fingers for a virtual interview again this year!!

I emailed them as well yesterday.

I asked about the option for virtual last month and Kat said they all were in person. Hopefully they will consider virtual interviews with all these flights canceling and omicron surge and that they lets us know with enough time. I would hate to have bought my ticket then the interview is virtual.

Is anyone super nervous about this interview. I hear it’s mostly clinical based. How are y’all preparing?

Has anyone received any information about where on campus to go for the interview?

I went to the campus few weeks ago. The CRNA department is across the street from the address that’s on the map. I asked one of the faculty members to let people know specifically where to go so nobody is late for interviews. She said she was going to have someone send an email with the precise location but I have not seen anything yet.

Great! Thank you!

I got a response-no plan for virtual interviews. The director said they believe all the flights are being cancelled due to Winter weather. It’s kind of frustrating because there are still thousands of flights being cancelled daily due to staffing issues from Omicron. They also recommended coming earlier to make sure I make it to my interview. Obviously I would if I didn’t have to work *sigh*

I guess we just pray our flights don’t get cancelled. I’m honestly frustrated with their response though. I still have a couple interviews for other schools this month-both of which have been more understanding about the flight situation. Today was the 11th straight day airlines have cancelled thousands of flights.

Super excited/nervous. I am flying in the morning before with hopes my flight won’t be cancelled/pushed back. Good luck everyone !
