Texas Tech BSN Spring 2018

Has anyone else applied for tech's traditional BSN program starting in spring 2018? If so, what campus did you apply to and feel free to share your stats!

Hello Y'all,

Congrats to those who all got accepted into Nursing school. I am a recent grad and have some school uniforms to give away for free they're a size small Grey's Anatomy top and XS bottoms. I have two sets and also have a black lab coat (cherokee) with the school emblem sewn onto them. As well I have the Required textbooks needed Volume 1 and 2 Nursing: A Concept-Based Approach to Learning Pearson (2nd ed) for sale $400 for both. I bought them brand new for $1200 at the school book store. I did highlight but only what coincided with the voiceovers the teachers posted. Voiceovers are powerpoints the teachers would post where they're literally reading out the book and I would highlight all that they said so that I can go back over and study that for tests. P.S. for those who didn't get accepted into the first round. Do not get discouraged there were students who had high TEAS scores and 4.0 GPA's that didn't get in the first round but did the second time.

I am definitely interested in the bottoms and books. Do you think they will still be relavant in the summer?

Yes I used these textbooks for all my semesters. It is what the teachers base their powerpoints off of as well as the ATI books which you will receive when you pay your ATI dues. Whether you start in the spring or summer the semesters are exactly the same and all require these books. I can definitely assure you that you really hit these books hard in your first and second semesters.

I still haven't heard anything, but I did email Elizabeth yesterday and asked if I should be worried if I haven't received an acceptance or are they still going out and she said notifications are still going out. Mamaking have you heard anything?

I see alot of yall were anxiously waiting. I remember the wait, and its the worst!! I was literally attached to my emails all day waiting for something. Just a tip for you guys, I am not sure if they still have y'all doing raiderconnect to do requirements and such. But I had gotten a placement fee requirement under supplemental items 5 days before I actually got my acceptance letter. If you notice and you get this fee this means you got in!!

@seafoamslushy yes those are the books. They haven't posted them but they will go over everything you will need during orientation. Just a tip of advice, save as much as you can to afford the items they require. Its super expensive especially all at once. Alot of student in my cohort were stressing about how they were going to pay for everything because financial aid didn't send out reimbursements from scholarships and such until 2 weeks after we started.
