U.S.A. Texas

Hey everyone,

Anyone else apply for the nursing program at Wharton in Sugarland for Spring 2019?

Still waiting on a response!:nailbiting:

Yes a bunch of us did. I got one and I am an alternate for Cyfair.

oops I meant to write Sugarland not cyfair... I applied to both

Ok thanks for letting me know! I applied and was accepted but haven't received a link for the background check. I may have to call to see why. I also emailed the person in charge but have not received an email back

The secretary will send us emails about the background check later. Along with other things we need to complete. Sometime after october 5th.

Did you receive a response after you emailed her to confirm your acceptance? She's usually really good at replying back and I was just getting a little worried but I'm assuming I should be ok. I'm just nervous about starting the program lol

No I didn't get a response. But if you confirmed then you're good. She'll send more info out later

This is the link to the group I started for our cohort. If someone wants to be admin let me know. Also I asked the secretary when orientation was and she stated they don't have a date set yet.

Has anyone received any other information regarding what we should be doing as of right now? Vaccinations, etc. ?

No I e-mail about when orientation was and they didn't have an answer for that yet. Everyone should be getting a blue card in the mail and that card needs to be brought into the board of nursing.

Did you already do your background check? I've emailed the board of nursing since the secretary said I needed to get the link through them since it didn't get through by her email.....I haven't received a response back, so I may have to call in this week.

Last year the secretary emailed us the link to schedule our background check. Then once we got the blue card in the mail from the board of nursing, we emailed the front and back of the blue card to the program secretary. If you really wanted to, you could start getting your vaccinations/titers and CPR (through the American Heart Association) done though because they will require us to upload them to castle branch. But she'll send an email about all this later. So you dont have to worry right now. I got all my vaccinations, CPR, and background check done since I went through all this last year.

How long does it usually take to get the blue card in the mail after the background check?

Have any of you ADN alternates for sugarland heard anything or received acceptance?

Thought I would check here before I email the admin..

Thanks
