Moving back to Texas after being abroad

U.S.A. Texas

Hi All

I'm mostly a lurker here but chime in every once in a while.

I have been living out of the country now for a few years and am planning a move back to the States in the next year. I'm a bit nervous that I'll get hired anywhere (I'm currently an LVN). I've not worked at a nurse since moving but work in the healthcare field and have kept my license up to date. I did leave nursing once before and managed to get hired after a 4 year break but had remained in Texas that whole time.

I'm wondering would rehab hospitals and nursing homes be my best best? What about those little urgent care places?

Also, it seems like there are more choices in schools now. The Dallas Nursing Institute (I think that's what it's called) is new or at least I hadn't heard of it a few years ago. I'm hoping there are more options to bridge as I was in the process of doing that when I moved.

Honestly, I'm pretty nervous about moving back and starting over but hope it won't be too bad.
