U.S.A. Texas

Hello,

Im new to this site and i have two questions and hope someone can answer them for me. Im in the process of taking my pre-req for their nursing program and my first question is do i have better chance getting into the program if i take the pre-req and the support classes? And my second question is, is it hard to get a job once u beecome a licensed RN?

I would like to thanks those of you in advance for answering my questions.:)

Specializes in Critical Care; Cardiac; Professional Development.

Pre-requisites have to be completed with satisfactory grades before you can apply. Most nursing programs also recommend you have the co-requisites completed prior to starting nursing school, as there will be very little time available to you to take these courses at the same time.

The job market is not what it used to be for new grads, but by the time you finish your pre-requisites, get accepted and complete the program (three to four years from now), most likely it will not look the same. Could be better, could be worse.

Thank you so much for answering my question. I was starting to think that it would be better to do the pre-req and the support classes before I apply to the program so when ever i do get accepted i will just have to focus on the main nursing classes.
