Texas hospital is reportedly 1st in US to use holograms for doctor-patient visits
Hospital officials said the system could help doctors cut down on travel time.
OK, so patients have to be in front of hologram box to be seen by doctor, impractical in ER --unless I'm missing something. Why not use cellphone Telehealth or robotic telehealth which can be wheeled to bedside?
Jefferson Health and my local hospital use mobile robotic teleconsulting system for neuro consults; used in 12/1/19 decision to give me TPA for stroke symptoms as met criteria -- discharge dx: severe case Bells Palsy. Has to be cheeper.

When I saw grace the robot nurse, I looked more into it and saw there are robot nurses out now (they look like giant preschool toys) and was like even this I can't compete with. But I can see healthcare turning to such alternatives due to shortages and low number of supply of new nurses being more common within 30 year period.
