Texas DWI Dismissal and License Renewal

Hello! I was just wondering if I need representation. I got a DWI charge back in march 2024. I didn't not know I had to let the nursing board know. I got the charge dismissed June 20, 2025 through dwi PTD and is on track to get expunged. I need to renew my RN this month in July. Do I need a lawyer? I wonder if I can just declare during the renewal. My biggest worry is that my license would not get renewed or that the board would place me in a program or place a mark on my license because I would like to go to graduate school.

Yes, you need to report it at renewal

Whatever you decide to do don't lie to the BON but I would absolutely consult a lawyer familiar with RN BON cases in your state before you do anything.
