Hey guys just thought I would make a discussion for anyone applying to TCH this fall in Houston! Hoping we can help support one another through this process! Dates are June 30th if internal and July 7-18 if external. Good luck!

If you don't hear anything by Aug. 8, which is technically the last day of interviews, I saw that someone said, you will be receiving a rejection letter shortly after. TCH is extremely competitive especially if you don't have any contacts or experience they're looking for. I was rejected last application period but it didn't stop me! I would possibly apply for some PCA jobs at the hospital as well to try and get your foot in the door. My friends who work there told me it's very hard to come in as a new grad, and a lot of them worked at a for one year, applied, and immediately got the job! 

Experience you mean like an internship or our senior capstone in pediatrics  ?

Yes, and also working as a PCA. Anything besides clinical.

what did you put as your preference if it wasnt one of the units that has already completed interviews and sent out offers still have hope!

I know that for TMC acute care pulmonology, BMT, Hem/Onc, and PICU have all heard back.

The recruiter told me by Monday they will have all the offers sent out. If you don't hear anything at the end of the day then I would assume that means a rejection.

Hi, was this the recruiter for the TMC campus or a different location? Im not sure if there are different recruiters and/or different updates based on different locations.

I know she was contacting me for the medical center. I don't know if she's for all location.
