Hello everyone, I just wanted to see if anyone has more detailed info on their program and requirements for application. I've been searching their website and for a while now to see if I somehow missed a link or the information and I haven't had much luck. It was very clear on the Memorial Hermann and Houston Methodist sites, so I was expecting a similar layout. I've also searched this forum and i've only gathered that it's very difficult to get into/opens in April - Still hopeful!
I'm extremely interested in this program and am looking forward to any information you may have! Thank you!
If anyone has any information out there I'd be truly over the moon. This morning they posted this website: infinitepassion.org its truly inspiring and beautiful! It makes me want to work there even more if thats even possible.

They posted the application a few weeks back. I'm not sure if they took it down. I would search their careeer site and indeed.com for Texas Children New Grad Program and Staff Nurse 1st year. If you can't find it the application date might have already closed. But the main thing I do remember is that they require a minimum GPA of 3.5. If I can find the app, I will post the link here with the requirements!

Application for January 2015 is closed. It opened sometime early in November. Also, 3.5 is the preferred gpa. I have an interview tomorrow and my gpa isn't a 3.5. I'm surprised they called me to be honest, then again, I had clinicals there so I am in their "system". :)
Congratulations and best of luck!! Thank you for your reply, I was actually asking for the summer start I graduate in May, but please feel free to update on how your interview goes!
Thanks!! I'll know their decision by next week ? Ohhh for summer try to consistently check in March/April

icecream- what unit did you interview for?? I had an interview on Monday for CVICU. I am so anxious to learn my outcome!
Mine was on that unit too! Awesome! It was so.. Quiet. I caught myself starting to ramble to fill the void I've had 3 interviews in the last 3 business days. I'm EXHAUSTED.
Their CVICU is a very nice, technologically advanced unit. TCH is so ahead of the game when it comes to pediatrics. I guess we won't know anything until the end of next week, right before the holidays
Oh wow, cool! I heard they have ~7 positions available for GNs on that unit. *fingers and toes crossed* I hear you on exhaustion. I ended up having another interview that same day, as well. But I'm glad to say I'm alllll done with interviews. I'm really just waiting to hear back from TCH, and I was hoping we would hear back sooner, like today or Thursday so I can decline other offers. I know the initial recruiter said all candidates will know the status of their applications by 12/12...so we'll see! Good luck!
Thanks!! Good luck to you too! But keep in mind if you accept an offer you can always call and rescind your acceptance of the offer. They know grad students shop around!
Thank you! Yeah, I guess I just don't want to risk making a bad name for my school/those that come after me. lol Call me old fashioned, but I plan to whole-heartedly accept whenever I do decide. I would just feel so bad/guilty if I accepted then went back on my verbal agreement. But, thank you for the suggestion. :) Fortunately, the other places have been gracious enough to give me more time to think about my options, and I'm in a position where I know I will be more happy with the other offers. Still, TCH CVICU is my #1 choice.
I definitely agree with you on that one! Best of luck to you I really hope both of you get the job! If you don't mind answering, what was your GPA/are you from the area? I'm planning to relocate there specifically for TCH.
