Texas Children's July 2017 GN residency

Published

Hello everyone! I didn't see a topic started for TCH's nurse residency program so I thought that I would start one. I know that the application just closed yesterday, but feel free to comment any updates that y'all get! Good luck to everyone!

That's odd. So she said you may have the job but she's not sure? Hm. :(

I know I'm confused but I'm hoping to find something out soon. Let me know if they send you an official offer

For those who got an offer, did they make u sign anything or give any information about benefits or medical insurance or any of that extra stuff? I was just sent my offer and then told to expect more documents in 2-3 weeks, but wasnt actually told to sign anything. Laura, my recruiter, hinted at the fact that they do more of a verbal acceptance? Just wanna make sure it is like this for everyone else. Kinda bugs me because I want to actually sign something saying I have accepted it, if that makes sense.

I verbally accepted my offer offer but there was nothing for me to sign either. Just the email that discussed the two days on August 14 & 15. I guess we will hear back with more info in a few weeks!

Thanks for your response :) I start june 26, but i think that for PICU there is two groups with seperate start dates.

Oh dang I didn't realize that. I wish I had the earlier start date :/

Is the first PICU group on days or nights? I got the second start date (in august) and am worried that we didn't have to si

Im first group days PICU. Not sure how they seperated us, maybe its based on graduation date? I graduate may 13

That's when I graduate as well! Maybe last name or even out of state? I'm out of state so it actually works better so I have time to move!! Just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything bad!!:)

Im sure it's nothing bad. I think it's just that we are a big group and by splitting us up we will be able to tranisition more easily and not feel overcrowded? Idk. I am in state though, last name ends with a V, so the fact that I am in state could have played a factor.

Hey guys! Ill be working nights PICU starting august 14th. Anyone else on nights at that time as well?

Did anyone ask about the weekend rotation?
