Texas A&M University Second Degree BSN - Spring 2026

Hi! My name is Maddie and I wanted to start a general thread for Texas A&M's Second Degree BSN program for Spring 2026!

I submitted my NursingCAS application on August 1 and received my interview invite on August 5! I've seen on other threads that some people received an email about ApplyTexas, but I haven't gotten that yet, so I'm not sure if interview emails went out before those. I'd love to hear from y'all, and y'alls application experience so far!

I got an email with Apply Texas instructions on July 31 after submitting my NursingCAS application on the 30th. The interview invite email was sent a couple hours after the Apply Texas one. From older semesters' threads, it looks like the timing on that stuff can vary.

My interview email says the due date for mine was today at noon, but I have no clue if that's for all of us, or if that's just mine. Not gonna lie, I didn't love the interview! I felt kinda panicky throughout. Certainly not the best I could have done, but glad to not be thinking about it anymore!

Thank you for starting this thread, Maddie!

I just got the email about submitting an ApplyTexas application. I submitted my NursingCAS application on July 30th and received the interview invite on July 31st. Like Elizabeth's, my interview was due yesterday, August 12th, at noon. All we can do now is wait! In the conclusion video at the end of the Kira Assessment, the program estimated a decision timeline of about 6-8 weeks from the application deadline. Does anyone know if the application deadline they were talking about was for NursingCAS or the interview? Just trying to figure out when we might be expecting to get decisions back.
