Texas A&M University Second Degree BSN Fall 2025

Published

Hi!  My name is Michelle and I just wanted to start a general thread for Texas A&M's Second Degree BSN program for Fall 2025 and get to know anyone else applying for this particular cohort 😊.

I submitted my NursingCAS application last week; but I know the application process is multi-tiered and was wondering if anyone has heard from the school regarding the ApplyTexas application or the interview invite yet?  I didn't know if they wait until after the NursingCAS due date to begin the next steps, or if anyone has started the other parts of the application yet.

OMG! I did too 🤩

Hi! I was wondering if you would share your stats - if you don't mind? I'm planning on applying for another semester and was just trying to see where I would stand.

Hi! I have a 4.0 GPA with a 96 HESI score, but they definitely emphasize that their admissions are holistic and look beyond academics. I had extracurriculars and jobs that I made sure to mention even if they were not related to healthcare. They just want to learn who you are and see if you would be a good match.

@emmacleveland Congrats 🎉🎊!! My daughter received her acceptance today as well. She is moving g down from the Dallas area. We will be looking at housing in May or June. Would love to connect you two.

Howdy! That's great to hear! I believe I will be living in a one bedroom, but I would still love to get to know her and meet someone in the program!

@emmacleveland for sure. She's not looking for a roommate either.

Hello, I applied for Fall 25 as well and am currently on the waitlist. Does anyone know anyone else on the waitlist and/or chances of getting off the waitlist?

Hello! I was accepted and I am thinking I might decline as I have another spot at another school that benefits me a little more. I need some advice. My mother has always wanted me to be an Aggie because she was. But, there's another school with a 15 month accelerated program in my hometown. What do I do? I would be happy to give someone else my spot!

I would honestly choose the option that you feel is best for you, as it is your education and not your mothers. There also may be some more benefits of living in your hometown as well, such as not having to pay rent if you live at home, as I know Round Rock rent can be very expensive :(. In the end it is your choice though, and either way, I am sure your mother will be proud of wherever you choose to go!

For those who got accepted, have you looked at places to live yet?

Currently considering, although pricey. https://www.stillwellataverycentre.com/pricing

yea, I had a 3.5 GPA and 92 on my HESI but like others have stated, the school really takes a holistic approach when it comes to reviewing applicants' background, grades, and interview submissions.
