Texas A&M HSC RN-BSN Program- Any Info??

Published

Anyone currently enrolled in TAMHSC RN-BSN program?? I am currently enrolled in my 2nd year of nursing school (ADN) & am researching info about RN-BSN programs. I was just wondering if anyone had any info about this program: enrolled, applied, currently attending another nursing program at TAMHSC?? Any information is greatly appreciated! TIA!

I am in the accelerated BSN program at TAMHSC and I have yet to see any RN to BSN students. Perhaps they have night classes? Contact the school for more info:

My class has 33 students total. I heard that the new admit 2011 accelerated class had 150 applicants or so and they accepted 30.

Note: I would say if you don't like frequent change, attend another nursing program that is not so NEW because they change the curriculum often, but that is expected of a new program. There is a new building and the staff/faculty are awesome (except a few). They are VERY relaxed (because they have to be in order to implement so many schedule changes upon the students) and the program does not appear to be as rigorous as other programs - like UT Houston. It is more expensive than other programs, but you are also paying for the new building - however, I doubt you would really use the new building since you will already be an RN.

Xtra: The new building is abbreviated "HPEB"

Faculty often tell us students "you need to learn to be flexible in nursing"......
