TESU ABSN Fall 2022 Cohort - All Nurses

Published

Hi I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying or have been accepted into the TESU ABSN Fall 2022 program.  I have an interview next week and wanted to see how anyone else's experience has been.

Woohoo!! Congratulations to you as well!! ??

Just had my interview. It went well, lasting for about 45 minutes. But I am really unsure if I’ll get accepted. One of the interviewers was concerned that I don’t have a healthcare background and she was concerned with my bachelors grades which wasn’t bad (3.0 GPA) but I guess to low for nursing school. I did very well on all my prerequisites earning all As and 1 C. Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

How’d you do on your TEAS?

Reading 78.7

Math 87.5

Science 72.3

English 75

That’s good! They want at least 70% in all of the subjects. I wouldn’t worry tbh. Fingers crossed for you!!

Hi all! I am also applying to TESU ABSN program but for the Winter 2023 start. I still have one more course to take, chem and I plan on taking it online via Saylor Academy or Straighterline, does any one have experience taking pre requisites online for TESU? If so, how was your experience with straighterline or sayloracademy?

Thanks!

Hi! I took a course via Straighterline and I thought it was really fair. You go at your own pace and there’s usually un-proctored midterms, and at then end there’s a proctored final. Some classes allow open book exams and others don’t.

I just got accepted too! Nervous and excited to start!

I got accepted as well. I just completed FAFSA yesterday. It’s now pending on if I can get a loan big enough to cover the cost. If not I can not go I’ll have to go with my second choice

Yay congrats! ?

I just found out TESU has no housing. IDK why I didn't realize that earlier. It made me reluctant to finish my application. But, how is everyone doing with housing? Are you all in the Jersey area? I'm from PA so my commute would be a little over an hour.

I live in Trenton, I can walk to the campus. My issue is the paying of the tuition. I don’t feel comfortable sending in $500 but then be told I can’t afford to go. I’m still waiting for the school to send an award letter.  I may have to go with a much cheaper school.  I don’t want to add to much into my existing loan debts
